Brian Urlacher Retires

Brian Urlacher Retires

If Chicago Bears fans were surprised when their beloved middle linebacker was let go then they must be stunned by the news that Brian Urlacher retires and will not play for another team... For thirteen years the monsters of the midway had a rock in the middle in Brian and he never let his team or fans down. Its unfortunate injuries were the only thing that could sideline the perennial All-Star which not only slowed him down but ultimately lead to his retirement.
Brian Urlacher Retires!

The Bears have a history of great middle linebackers, Dick Butkus and Mike Singletary were the shoes Brian had to fill and fill them is exactly what he did. Brian Urlacher retires with an outstanding resume for a team with a proud tradition of defense at the middle linebacker position. He will most certainly be part of the NFL Hall of Fame and deservedly so! Whether you were a fan of the Bears or not you had to respect the play and passion he brought to the field night in and night out, his community involvement was also a huge part of his success and he will be missed.

Brian was a real leader on the field and in the locker room... You may try to replace him on the field but his leadership qualities will be much more difficult to do. Leaders like Brian don't come along very often and whoever the next guy to step into the middle of the Bears field will truly have a huge burden to bare. Brian Urlacher retires as one of only four players with fourty (40) sacks and twenty (20) interceptions the other; Ray Lewis, Seth Joyner and Wilber Marshall.
Future Hall of Fame Inductee!
