During several of the games the news was dominated by reports of soccer fans being killed during tailgating functions and after games be rival teams fan base and the gangs that followed them. If this happens once its way to many times but this was happening over and over again, fans were not just cheering for the teams these games represented their Country and homeland... To soccer fans the games were an opportunity for expression, pride and winning meant everything but loosing was devastatingly painful. There are similarities among soccer fans and fans here in the USA we all seem to enjoy expressing our passion with colorful costumes and painted faces, some might say they started it and we took it to a whole new level... International fans vs USA fans is very interesting once you dive in and really look at both parties.
